Concept Note: 

Ecolink Institute in connection with International Women's Day is organizing an Online Panel Discussion on “Women in SUD Treatment & Recovery” (Challenges & Success stories) on  8th March, 2024 at 6.30 PM (Indian Time) in zoom platform. The discussion will be centered around the challenges and opportunities in exclusive addiction treatment for women, as well as sharing positive stories on recovery by some of our women alumni members. The annual event is co-hosted by Ecolink Alumni Association. 

 

Women with Substance Use Disorder requires a specialized, exclusive treatment environment for their recovery as they pose unique challenges and problems compared to a male population. In the light of the Colombo Plan’s new curriculum on WISE (Women’s Intervention for Substance Exposure), of which Ecolink is a approved training provider, the panel discussion will also give some light to the forthcoming course on WISE by Ecolink.   

 

Let us celebrate the International Women’s Day with women in Recovery!!

Panel discussion will be chaired by Ms. Aditi Ghanekar, Global Master Trainer, Colombo Plan

 

Panel members will be Clara D’Cunha (Treatment provider), and sharing of success stories by Odireleng Kasale, Naila and Esha Mitra.

Ecolink UTC Alumni Association:

The Ecolink Alumni Association consist of all the students of the Universal Treatment Curriculum of Substance Use Disorder (UTC) from Ecolink Institute from 8 different batches as well as its students of the Advanced courses. Major activities include the promotion of integrating UTC into clinical practice, hosting webinars, psycho-education through a YouTube channel, promotion of online therapy for SUDs under Addiction Recovery Coach Online (ARCO) and sharing of updated knowledge and information among its members on a regular basis. 

Ecolink Institute of Well-being:

Ecolink Institute is an approved Training Provider of the Colombo Plan Drug Advisory Programme which is currently involved in training addiction professionals with a Universal Treatment Curriculum, facilitating the application process of the students for ICAP credentialing, and managing an online therapy platform for mental health and addiction management. The Institute has trained over 350 addiction practitioners from 17 countries so far in the highest quality. Dr Thirumagal V is the chief trainer of the Institute along with Ms Aditi Ghanekar, Dr Damber Nirola, Mr Francis Moothedan, Ms Reshma Malick and Dr Thomas Scaria. Recently the Institute won the International Award for “Excellence in Training Provision” from the ISSUP-Global.
